Student Spotlight

In April, we took time as  a base to focus on praying for an increase in students for 24Seven, DTS, CDTS, BLS, ESL, & TESOL.  We have already begun to see the fruit of our prayers in the number of inquiries and applications that Marleen has received as our Schools Registrar.  As we move into a new prayer focus for the month of May, check out this testimony from one of our DTS graduates, and be encouraged to continue praying for our schools:

Lacey Bishop (Fall DTS 2007)
Before I came to DTS I had no direction in life. Was college what God had for me, or maybe working? In my DTS God really set my life’s course into motion. I didn’t know who I was or where I was going before the school started. I met God truly and intimately through breaking down walls of fear and failure. He opened my heart to begin to worship freely and set ablaze a  passion for worship during this season.

I graduated the DTS with a strong direction towards what was next: a worship school. The next fall I went to Nashville, did a School of Worship with YWAM, and was encountered by God even deeper than before. The tools and discipline that I learned through DTS definitely helped in the effort of keeping intimacy with God.

It’s been 3 years now since I graduated DTS and I have been completely amazed at God’s faithfulness and direction. I have also had the privilege of attending a 3 month internship with the International House of Prayer in  Atlanta. There I was again fueled and set ablaze in worship ministry and am now waiting on what He has next.

Today at YWAM Chico, we come before God with thankful and open hearts… thankful for the mighty things He has done in this place and through this ministry; open to the increase that He will bring as we are faithful with this calling!
