Who are we as a base? What should we be doing? These seem to be common topics since the “Acts 1 Gathering” last year. God has been speaking to us, giving us dreams, renewing callings, and refreshing hopes (Jeremiah 29:11). He’s been teaching us, growing our hearts, and renewing our faith. He’s been preparing the ground for what’s next (Hosea 10:12). That said, since “Acts 1”, I have been dreaming up a storm… or at least trying? I have come crashing into a road block, not just in the last year – but unfortunately, my entire life. It comes up every time I start dreaming. Sometimes I’ve tried to go around it, forging my own path, or finding a solution by building up my passion and pushing through it – only to burn myself out and have to drop out. There have even been times I’ve given up and let God’s dreams pass me by. This road block is fear. The answer God has been giving me is simple: Psalm 46:10 “…be still and know that I am God.” All I need to do is trust Him to be who He says He is, and know that He is preparing the way.
Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Hosea 10:12, "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers righteousness on you."
